New SeeD Cadets

Actually, the working title is 'Kyuubi Approaching'. But rejoice! It's not precisemente Kyouji-centric, mostly for my Devil's Duo, Kotetsu and Izumo.  I'm working out canon for Kyouji, so if you notice him being retconned on several occasions, don't worry too much, there's not much in the way of continuity where Kyouji is concerned.  Delena-chan gave me horrible inspiration for a 'verse where Kyouji dies and comes back often and a lot, and everyone's cool with it.  Think Kenny from South Park.

All you need to know is that Zarbon and Kuja are perfect for each other. Within KH: AU²

^^ So this won't make much sense at all without knowing what's going on in the AU, and many apologies for that, but I'm under orders here.  The AU(what we've got of it so far) in a nutshell:
Arcs: Divergence, Severed Chains, Retribution.

And for the mild!AU AU I've got going- the characters from FF7 and FF8 begin remembering during various stages of the journey that they had past lives(Befores).
So here's 6 of the 7 I mentioned previously.  Not in timeline order, but in the order I wrote them.  Timeline order will be in parentheses.















#7 is saved for Sephiroth, and is giving me the most trouble.

This is the product of too many hours spent on the minor AU of the KH AU, which involves some of the characters' past lives coming into play.  And by that, I mean it affects relationships, dialogue, and amount of angst.
Will eventually post parts of the minor AU, entitled 7 Ways Past Lives Don't Screw Over the Characters of Kingdom Hearts: Divergence
Oh, and if anyone knows any non-Tidus-centric fics that portray him fairly, I'd like to see them.

In other news!
Do any other fic writers miss the good old days where people would review every fic they read just because they read it?  Pageviews are great, but feedback is even better.

This totally has nothing to do with the fact that I just uploaded a new fic on FF.Net.

Because I abandoned them for so long, and because Delena-chan requested in her dA poll for an amusing anecdote.  Oh, KH: D is what was decided for the KH AU's first arc name.  The second or third is Retribution, and I don't remember what we labeled the remaining one.

And about Minato being such a nice person? I'm of the belief that Tsunade and Jiraiya are the sort to completely forget how perfectly awful a person can be once they die and also because Minato was too damn fine.  Case in Point: James Potter.  He was a gigantic ass.

For those of you who wondered about Sake Friday, and to somewhat bridge Shinobi Tea with W, S, & C.  Afraid it's not up to par, and kind of switches gears [too] fast at the end.

I say 'quasi' because it heavily involves canon characters.  Speculation on the relationship between Minato and Kyouji.

Still doodling around with Kyouji's characterization.  And to think he started out as such a minor character and ass.  Don't get me wrong, he's still an ass, but now he's an ass with reasons for being so, and it partially has to do with his gigantically HUGE Yondaime-complex. XD Don't worry, for those of you with little appreciation for onesided unfulfilled (and largely ignored by Kyouji even though he's the one with the complex) OMCYondaime, it's nothing that shows up in the Fifteen, and very barely in any other work he's in.
His hair color also changed.  You have Delena-chan to thank for that. (It's ash blond in Shinobi Tea, but it's brown in the rest of my work with him in it)
Oh, for anyone who cared, Kyouji's First Appearance.  I'm rather ashamed now that he was so mean to Sakumo, but yeah.


On a separate note, my non-brother Rav is one of my favorite people now.  He gave me a copy of Pokemon Emerald for the computer that he downloaded.  It's addicting, and eating my life even more than my favorite cannon fodder chuunin. 

Raven_Scarlett and I are writing this KH AU starting with the question of what if Sora had taken Riku's hand and fallen to Darkness and Kairi had been the chosen of the Keyblade.  Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work that way because Kairi's a Princess of Heart, but it's AU.  Weird things happen.

And the fun thing is, we've got so much done for the middle, and Raven's already decided the end, and yeah.  It's turning out wonderfully.  And since you're still here, here's a clip from the middle:

Kyouji-centric fic.

So I'm thinking about changing my major.  Right now, I'm majoring in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Yeah, double major.  Everyone told me that it was too hard, and most of the people they know who tried computers up and failed.  Well thanks, now I'm a statistic.

Don't get me wrong, I like computers.  Programming, though, has beaten me very badly, and all the classes I need for the major are extremely difficult.  So computers, yes; programming, no.  And programming is central to computer science.  It's fun, but only when it works, which is next to never.  I'm more of a people-y person anyway. What's really bothering me, though, is the idea that I've shot my GPA to shit for nothing. And that I have to explain all this to my father.  ARGH.

And normally, I'd post this to dA, but there's this guy.  A guy who likes/d me.  A guy who I have not figured out how to tell him that he's wasting his time.  And mine.  And now I can't post anything to my journal without him commenting.

On a quasi-happier note...I made my first post to my first (only!) community! Go me! XD Okay, so it was just a link back to this journal, but that's okay.  It counts for something.  I think.
